About the artist

Carmen Chan is currently a full-time student at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) in Singapore, undertaking a Diploma in Fine Art where her chosen pathway is 2D Painting. She paints with oils, acrylics and water colors, preferring to work with still life, botanicals, and landscapes. The themes of her work at the academy are focused on motherhood and the family.

Prior to starting her diploma course in 2022, she held multiple positions simultaneously as the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Human Resources Manager, Culinarian, Custodian and Governess at the Chan & Tenney Household for eight years.

Aside from her art studies, she has over ten years of work experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications and Journalism (Entertainment and Lifestyle) in the Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE); Hotel, and Media industries. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Media Arts) from Deakin University in Victoria, Australia.

Carmen believes in giving back to the community and sings in an all-women community choir that raises money for charity.
